In May 2020, you told Jane, via Instagram, all sorts of books to read to become antiracist and to make us all better people, and she made it into several Ideal Bookshelf sets, including this one for Young Adult readers.

It includes books about racism (particularly in the US) and how to be antiracist, but also about what it’s like to be made to feel different and other or to be welcomed and included with love ❤️. (Most of the books have Black main characters, but other experiences are included as well, such as being in a Japanese internment camp in America during WWII.)

We're donating the profits of this print to The Conscious Kid's Anti-Racist Children’s Books Education Fund. Please visit their website to learn more about how awesome they are! (But keep in mind they had nothing to do with the choice of books depicted in this print, so blame me for any shortcomings, not them!).
  • First offered in June 2020
  • Archival pigment ink print on fine art paper
  • Based on original paintings by Jane Mount

Framing & Sizing Info

We partner with our friends at Simply Framed to offer custom framing in your choice of frame, plus an appropriately-sized white mat and UV-shielding plexiglass. (You can see more details in our FAQ.)

Please note, if you order a framed 8 x 10" print or painting, it will arrive in a frame that is about 11.75 x 13.75". An 11 x 14" print or painting will be in a 16.75 x 19.75" frame, and a 16 x 20" in a 22.75 x 26.75" frame.

As all the frames are custom fit to the prints, framing your work adds 2-3 weeks to your delivery time, but it is SO worth it, we promise.
