Ideal Bookshelf 668: Poetry
I have been meaning to paint a shelf full of poetry for years, but to give you an idea of how much I know about poetry, the only poems I can recite are those from Shel Silverstein's Where the Sidewalk Ends, which I memorized in 5th grade ("Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout / would not take the garbage out...".
So for this print I enlisted the expert help of Erik Heywood, owner of the amazing Book/Shop rare book store in Oakland, California. The collections he picked are both perfect and really lovely together. I've now added each and every one of them to my ever-expanding BOOKS I MUST READ list.
